Dreams of Sunnydale Illusen The one that started it all! Lucy was my first maltese and was so wonderful, I quickly fell in love with the breed. I lucked out and stumbled upon the AMA breeder list and found a fantastic breeder that lived nearby, (Sheri Alquist of Whitecliff Maltese) and Lucy came home with me that day. I can honestly that my life has not been the same since and I don't regret that for even a moment! (altho my hubby and kids might, LOL) I went from knowing nothing at all about the breed to wanting to show these wonderful dogs because of Lucy, and although I bought her on a pet contract, Sheri was willing to work with me so we could get this beauty in the ring, and words cannot express how much I appreciate that. She was just a few months away from making her show debut when she started losing large patches of coat. With hormones being the most likely culprit, Lucy was spayed and never made it to the ring. UPDATE ON LUCY Lucy will be shown by my daughter in Junior Showmanship
and already, they have made a very good team during multiple match shows!
