Carriers I have purchased
Like many other maltese owners, I am in
possession of several different dog carriers. My first one was a cheapie from
Target that allowed Lucy's head to pop out. Although it came with a leash to
secure the dog inside, I found it highly impractical for my overly enthusiastic
maltese who is very spastic when she sees other dogs/ little children. It took
her all of a minute to forget where she was and to fling herself out of the
carrier, only to be caught midair in the nick of time. This type of carrier may
work for other people, but it did not work for Lucy and I will never put her
another type of carrier like this again.
Juicy Couture
My second dog carrier was a trendy little Juicy Couture bag. While a
tad heavy, the true fashion sensibility of the carrier overrode that particular
fault. However, one thing I did find with my Juicy bag is that Lucy was
able to nose the zipper up and apart, leaving her with the same opportunity to
jump out. I found this out when I used it to sneak her into a sporting good
store. Thinking I was being completely stealthy with my well-hidden dog, I
looked down only to find her attempting to worm her way out of the carrier and
since the stealth was no longer with me, we were asked to leave. I still use it
on occasion but I would never use it where I absolutely need her to stay
in the carrier. This brings us to the last carrier I have purchased.

Celltei Pet on the Go
I originally purchased this because I needed a trustworthy bag that I could use
on an airplane.. I came across this bag at Red Hound in Oakland and fell in love
with it. I purchased the small size Camouflage bag and was more than content
with the price of the item. It was put to the test quite quickly on a flight
from California to Kentucky where it
passed with flying colors. It was fairly comfortable to wear, it kept my hands free
for security screening, etc, and best of all, Lucy loved it. If you need to
sneak your dog into
places, this is the perfect bag. Since its purchase, I've lost count of how
many places I've taken Lucy into where she might not have been the most welcome
otherwise. It's light, inexpensive and very well made. I do keep losing my
cellphone in it but that is more me being a dingbat than it being the fault of
the carrier. nto places, this is the perfect bag. Since its purchase, I've

Since purchasing my first Celltei bag in 2006, I have
tried several other models but I still prefer the Pet On The
Go. It's light and I like being able to keep my hands free
when I use it. Since its purchase, it has been well-used and
has held up very nicely.
